Learning how to express anger. We all feel angry from time to time. It is difficult to explore this topic with children who have challenges with language comprehension and expression. The Koala Who Sometimes Feels Angry, has been written to explore the concept of anger in a very gentle manner. The story song describes a Koala who can sometimes feel very angry. Koalas are often portrayed as very quiet and cuddly animals, but they also have a different persona when they are feeling threatened. Humans are different to Koala's and we have many other strategies to express anger. The Koala Who Sometimes Feels Angry, suggests responses for feelings of scared, anxious, angry, worried and angry. The song describes what anger can look like with a Koala and describes strategies that humans can use. If only a Koala could talk, breathe, use time out, wrap up tight and sing and stomp.

My Invisible String written by Patrice Karst helps children understand separation.
I have created a song to help children explore this concept a little further. A visual resource is below for children to describe where their string goes. An audio file is included with just the song for those needing a very short learning event.
Dancing Feet by Lindsey Craig and Marc Brown
This is a joyful story about ladybugs, bears, elephants and many more animals who like to dance. It is hard not to move with this song! Instruments match the onomatopoeia of the adjectives that describe their moves. This is a fun learning event to support those in lock down.
