Music Therapy can assist children with executive function and self regulation. Executive Function is the combination of inhibition, working memory and flexibility within young children. Children need to learn to manage their emotions, adapt to change, direct their attention, and thinking. The planned use of early childhood music can involve many of the executive function skills that can assist children develop an ability to learn and develop within a school setting.
